Identical to the control group except for one factor, the independent variable. 17. Experimental Group
The difference between an experimental group and an independent group. It is manipulated and is sometimes called the manipulated variable 18. Independent Variable
Responding variable, it is affected by the independent variable. 19. Dependent Variable
When a set of related hypotheses is confirmed true many times, it can explain a great amount of data. 20. Theory
