cell cycle process v

chromatid each identical rod of a chromosome
chromosome the doubled rod of condensed chromatin
centromere holds the sister chromatids together while they aattach to spindle fibers
Interphase the cell gets big and makes copys of DNA
Prophase chromatin condenses making chromosomes the spindle fibers form a bridge between the end of the cell and the membrane breaks down
metaphase chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell attaching to the spindle fibers and its centromeres
anaphase centromeres seperate and start to move to the cells poles
telophase chromosomes cluster in the center of each new cell , nuclear membrane begins to form, cell begins to split
cytokensis the cell splits into two to form two daughter cells
DNA replication ensures that each daughter cell will have all of its genetic information to carry on its normal functions
animal cell in mitosis goes through cell cycle
plant cell plates form in the middle of the cell and then it seperates into two cells
