Rotation Spinning on its axis.
Revolution Movement of the earth around the sun.
Axis Imaginary line traveling through the north and South Pole.
Equator Imaginary line dividing northern and Southern Hemisphere.
Tilt The position of the Earth.
Hemisphere Half of a sphere.
Seasons Caused by the Earths tilt, and changed by what hemisphere faces the sun.
Lunar Eclipse When the Earth is in front of the moon and covers the sun
Solar Eclipse When the moon is infront of the Earth and covers the sun.
New Moon known as no moon, When Earth cant see any of the moon.
Full moon When the Whole Moon is filled.
First Quarter When only half of the moon is filled. On the right side.
Third Quarter When only half the moon is filled on the left side.
Waxing When the moon is filling up.
Waning When the moon is getting smaller and we see less.
Waxing crescent When only a small portion is visible on the right side.
Waxing Gibbous When the moon is more than half full mostly on the right side.
Waning crescent When only a small portion is visible on the left side.
Waning Gibbous When the moon is more than half full mostly on the left side.
Wave A curved line of sudden energy.
Umbra The shadow of the light from the sun.
Preumbra The light that surrounds the Earth or Moon from the sun.
Polaris The North star that our Earth's axis always points towards.
