| Physiology | Deals with the physical and chemical processes of cells, tissues, and organs of living organisms |
| Cell | The basic unit of living matter |
| Tissue | A group of cells of the same type |
| Epithelial Tissue | Tissue that lines, protects, scretes, absorbs, and receives sensations |
| Connective Tissue | Tissue that connects, supports, covers, lines, pads, or protects other body structures |
| Muscle Tissue | Tissue that ensures movement; it is capable of streching and contracting |
| Cardic Muscle Tissue | Involuntary muscle tissue found only in the heart |
| Nerve Tissue | Tissue that carries nervous impulses between the brain, the spinal cord, and all the parts of the body |
| Blood and Lymph Tissue | Tissue composed of singular cells that move within afluid to every part of the body, circulating nutrients, oxygen, and antibodies and removing waste products |
| Organ | A part of the body made of several types of tissue grouped together to perform a certain function; examples are the heart, stomach, and the lungs |
| System | A group of organs acting together carry out one or more body functions |
