QuestionAnswer
goggles Protective eyeglasses,usually made of plastic or glass and fitting tight to the face.
laboratory equipment These materials are highly varied: measurement instruments, various containers, heat sources, experimentation materials.
Triple beam balance A triple beam balance is a type of balance commonly used in the laboratory to determine the mass (by weight comparison) of samples.
finding density An object's density is the ratio of its mass to its volume.
Density amount of matter in a given space.
chemical changes Chemical changes occur when a substance combines with another to form a new substance.
Physical changes Physical changes are changes affecting the form of a chemical substance, but do not change the chemical composition of that substance.
Parts of atoms Pprotons, neutrons, and electrons. Protons have a positive charge, electrons have a negative charge, and neutrons have no charge.
Periodic table Table of chemical elements: a table of the chemical elements arranged according to their atomic numbers.
Chemical formulas A representation of a substance using symbols for its constituent elements formula statement.
Equations A written representation of a chemical reaction, in which the symbols and amounts of the reactants are separated from those of the products by an equal sign, arrow, or a set of opposing arrows.
speed graph Speed graph= distance and time.
Balanced forces Two or more forces are balanced if their vector sum is zero.
Unbalanced forces A force that together can equal a certain number and will make a change of the objects motion.
Newton's Laws They describe the relationship between the forces acting on a body and its motion due to those forces.
Speed/Distance/Time calculations speed= distance divided by time.
Acceleration graph Acceleration graph= distance and speed.
