Nutrients Food for the animals to be able to live in their habitat
Predetors Animals that eat other animals
Prey Animals that are hunted for by other animals
Competitors When there are two animals eat the same food and they fight for it. This can also be about territory or mating partners.
Food Chain Flow of energy from organism to organism.
Photosynthesis When the plants trap the sunlight in their leaves and use chemical called chlorophyll to help them use the sunlight to make carbohydrates.
Producers Species that are able to make their own foods.
Consumers Food eaters
Herbivores Consumers that can only eat plants
Carnivores Those that only eats other animals
Omnivores Consumers that eats both plants and animals
Decomposers Those who break down bodies of dead matters and recycle them. Are important to keep the food cycle going.
Food Web A number of food chains joint together
Biomass Total quantity of organisms put together in a pyramid form.
Diurnal Species that are active during the day.
Nocturnal Species that are active during the night.
