| mantle | The layer of Earth below the crust. |
| ocean | A large body of salt water. |
| volcano | A mountain that builds up around an opening in Earth's crust. |
| weathering | The breaking down of rocks into smaller pieces. Weathering causes interesting rock shapes to form. |
