this is the semester review

How would you design an experiment that would determine if a solid was a compound or mixture? Measure a number of physical and chemical properties and compare them to resported properties of the elements.
Describe what scientists mean by a controlled experiment. One variable changes while other variables or fixed.
What would be most important in designing a treatment to keep wood from rotting on playground equipment. Non-toxic to people.
Delineate unintended consequences and provide an example. People finding your private information on a computer.
What does a spring scale measure? Gravitational force and weight.
After making a hypothesis,what is the next step? Test it with experiments.
Give an example of how bio-engineering could be used to save a species of animals that is being killed by a new disease? Modifying genes of some animals to improve the ability for that animal to recover.
