Mixtures and Solutions Vocad Words

WordDefinition
Solute The substance being disolved. Ex. Salt
Solvent The substance doing the disolving. Ex. Water
Solubility The amount of solute that can be disolved in a givin amount.
Saturated Solution A solution in which the max amount of solute has been dosolved at a certain temp.
Insoluble A term used to describe a substance that does not disolve in water.
Polar Molocule A molocule that has two partically changed ends.
Electrolyte An aquines solution that conducts an electrical current.
Dissolve The state in which solute particals are evenly distrubted through a solvent.
Homo Mixture A mixture that is the same throughout
Hetero Mixture A mixture that is differnet throughout
Colliod Moxtures made up of clusters of atoms or molocules
