What are scavengers? Scavengers are eating other consumers, they have already died.
What is a producer? Producers are organisms, they can make their own food.
What is a consumer? Consumers are organisms, they cannot make their own Energy.
What is a secondary consumer? A secondary Consumer needs to eat a primary Consumer to get Energy.
What is a primary consumer/herbivores? A primary consumer or a herbivores is s consumer who needs to eat a producer to get Energy.
What is a tertiary consumer? A tertiary consumer eats a secondary consumer.
What are omnivores? Omnivores are consumers, they eat producers or other consumers.
What are carnivores? Carnivores are consumer, they only eat other consumers.
What is a decomposer? A decomposer is an organisms which break down dead organic matter so that the nutrients can be reused by plants.
What is a food chain? A food chain is the transfer of energy from sun to producer to primary consumer to secondary consumer to tertiary consumer.
What are food webs? Food webs are interconnected food chains, they show the feeding relationships in an ecosystem.
What is an Ecosystem? An Ecosystem is a system in which living things interact with themselves and their non-living environment in such a way that the entire system is perpetuated.
