maxilla forms rest of pallet, holds teeth, anchored to zygomatic bone
mandible jaw bone, starts as right and left halves
condyloid process smooth bump, usually part of joint to form jaw
coronoid process crown, upper most part of jaw, where muscle attaches
sagittal suture where parietal bones come together
lambdoidal sutures separates parietal from occipital
squamous suture temporal (squamous bone) to parietal
coronal suture where parietal and frontal meet
auditory ossicles few very small bones in inner ear
malleous most superficial (hammer)
incus anvil
stapes stirrup
hyoid horse shoe shaped bone in throat (broken if strangled)
