what is the ozone layer? this is the layer that blocks out UV rays from the sun
if the ozone layer were to some how go away what is the two mane afects on humans? blinding, and skin canser
whats the simbol for carbon dioxide? CO2
whats the simbol for carbon monoxide? CO
what are pure substance? matter that contains only one kind of particle.
what is a mixture? matter that contains two or more pure substances mixed togeter.
what is a mechanical mixture or heterogeneous mixture? a mixture with different parts that you can see.
what is a solution or homogeneous mixture? a mixture that looks like a single pure substance but really has two or more.
what those the word dissolve mean? to mix one type of matter into another type of matter to form a solution.
what those the word solute mean? the smaller part of a solution the part of a solution into which the solutes disolve.
what those the word dissolving mean? mixing completely with a solution the part of a solution into whitch the solvtes dissolvs.
what those the word solvent mean? the larger part of a solution the part of a solution into whitch the solutes dissolve.
water is often called tho universal solvent why is water called this? it's called this because it dissolves more substances than any other solvent.
