Definitions

QuestionAnswer
Motion Change in objects psotion releative to a reference point.
Distance Length an object travels, measured in SI units of meters.
Displacement Distance and direction of an objects change in position from the starting point.
Speed Distance an object travels per unit of measure.
Velocity Speed and direction of a moving object.
Reference Point Point of perspective that you measure from.
Vector Quantity Has both magnitude and direction.
Scalar Quantity Having only magnitude not direction.
Constant Speed Magnitude of its velocity.
Avereage Speed Measure of the disatnce traveled in a period.
Instantanious Speed Velocity of an object at a certain time.
Acceleration Increase in rate of speed.
Deceleration Decreace in rate of speed.
