preconceptual phase 2-4 yrs; egocentric approach to accommodate demands of enviro; "everything is ME";
intuitive thought phase 4-7yrs; egocentric thinking decreases; thinks of one idea at a time; word express in thoughts
concrete operations phase 7-11yrs; solves concrete problems; understand relationship such as size/right & left/cognizant of viewpoints
formal operations phase 11-15 yrs; uses rational thinking; reasoning is deductive and futuristic
