Genotype | The genetic constitution of an individual organism. |
Natural Selection | The process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring. |
Punnett Square | Tool used to predict the probability of certain traits in offspring that shows the different ways alleles can combine. |
Dominant | Most important, powerful, or influential: "they are now in an even more dominant position in the market". |
Extinction | The state or process of a species, family, or larger group being or becoming extinct. |
Genetics | The study of heredity and the variation of inherited characteristics. |
Mutation | The action or process of mutating. |
Phenotype | The set of observable characteristics of an individual resulting from the interaction of its genotype with the environment. |
Recessive | Relating to or denoting heritable characteristics controlled by genes that are expressed in offspring only when inherited from both. |
