Presumptive signs (subjective) Amenorrhea
Presumptive signs (subjective) N/V r/t high HCG in pregnancy but could be GI
Presumptive signs (subjective) Frequent micturation - or could also be due to UTI
Presumptive signs (subjective) Breast tenderness - or could be PMT or mastitis
Presumptive signs (subjective) Quickening (feeling of life usually by 20 wks) or could be gas
Probable signs (objective) Abdominal changes - fundus at umbilicus at 20 wks or could be r/t ascites, tumors, weight gain
Probable signs (objective) Chadwicks sign - purple discoloration of vagina
Probable signs (objective) Goodell's sign - by 2nd missed period, a valuable sign, softening of the cervix
Probable signs (objective) Hegar's sign - by 6th wk - one of the most valuable sign of early preg. - lower uterine segement becomes very soft
Probably signs (objective) Braxton Hicks
Probably signs (objective) Pigmentation of the skin
Probable signs (objective) Ballotment - can palpate a pregnant uterus with an internal exam
Probable signs (objective) Pregnancy test - based on presence of HCG
