QuestionAnswer
Controlled Variables (CVs) The factors that are the same in the experiment. These factors are not changed. These are factors in the experiment that help the experimenter and stay the same.
Independent Variable (IV) The ONE variable that is deliberately changed by the experimenter. The main part of the experiment's procedure.
Dependent Variable (DV) Variables that change as a result of a change in the Independent Variable. The change that happens after the IV is applied.
Normal Group (NG) The most regular situation. The less important variable, the non-changed variable.
Experimental Group (EG) Applies the condition or change being studied. The variable that helps create the result of the experiment.
