Ocean floor notes

rift zone is the notch or valley between the edges of the plates at a spreading plate boundary
continental self the extension of the continental crust under the ocean
continental slope is a steep drop off at the edge of the continental self
ocean trench is a deep valley that forms when an ocean plate moves below another plate
ocean basins are the areas located between the edge of the oceanic crust and a mid ocean ridge
mid ocean ridge which are areas of higher elevation that extend the length of the spreading plate boundary are formed on new crust
