The Parts of Cells
These are the parts of the cells.

| cell | The basic unit structure and function in living things |
| nucleus | the control center of the cell that determines the cell's form and function |
| cell membrane | the outside boundary that controls which substances can enter or leave the cell |
| cell wall | a ridgid layer of nonliving materials that surround the plant cell that gives it a boxlike shape |
| cytoplasm | the gooey like substance that is like the glue of the cell that everything floats in |
| mitocondria | the rod shaped structure that produces energy for the cell |
| chloroplasts | the little things that capture energy from sunlight to produce food for only the plant cell |
| vacuole | the sack that stores food for the cell like water, food, waste, etc. |
| lysosome | the small structure that breaks down food chemicals for the cell |
| golgi body | the part of the cell that recieves protiens and other new materials from the ER |
| endoplasmic reticulum (ER) | the part that forms passageways for the cell to carry proteins and other new materials |
