What 2 Charictaristics are used to cclasify air masses | Tempurature and Humitity/Moisture |
What is Humitity | The amount of water in a given volume of air |
How do clouds form | Warm moist air rises from the surface as air rises it cools. At a certain height the water vopor cools to its dew point and condensation occurs. Water vapor clings to particles in the air. |
How does Tempurature affect humitity | As air gets warme it expands and can hold more water vapor so the humitity would also rise. |
Why cant cold ir hold much watervapor | Cold air is dense |
What clouds form along cold fronts? | Cumulonimbus |
What type of precipiation comes from clouds in cold fronts | rain Thunderstorms and hail |
What Clouds Form along warm fronts | Cumulus Cumulonimbus stratus and nimbostratus. |
