Shouting Tying an entire sentence in "all caps". Typing a message in "all caps" on the Internet is considered rude because it is assumed you are yelling your message.
Anonymous Not identified by name; unknown.
Cyber Bullying Bullying that takes place online using email, instant messaging, cell phones, text messages or web site. Being mean and cruel to others online.
Digital Citizenship Navigating the digital world safely, responsibly, and ethically.
Digital Etiquette A basic set of rules to follow to make the Internet a better and safer place.
Digital Footprints The trail or traces that people leave while using the Internet.
Emoticon Typed symbols that convey emotional aspects of an online message. :( :)
Etiquette Code of behavior that defines expectations for social behavior.
Flaming Rude or harassing messages posted online in order to start an argument.
Internet Troll An online bully.
Password A secret word or phrase known only to the creator.
Post To display in a public place.
Screen Name How a person identifies him or herself online.
Social Network A website or other application that allows users to communicate with each other by posting information, comments, messages, images, etc.
The Web Another way of saying the Internet or the World Wide Web. The web is also know as the "information highway".
