Decline of feudalism

what did Henry the second do? he insisted a jury formally accuse someone of a crime and heard before a royal judge. Henry also issued a document that spelled out the kings traditional rights.
what problems did it cause? (remember Thomas Becket) it led to a serious conflict with the church. some of the kings knight killed Becket in the name of the king
who was king john He was King Henry II's younger son
What did he do to "make enemies'? he lost most of the lands the English controlled in France, he also taxed his nobles, and ignored their rights, he also fought with the church and got money from church properties
How did nobles address these problems The barons forced a meeting with King John and made him sign the Magna Carta
What did the Magna Carta do? Why historically important? The Magna Carta was an agreement between the nobles and the king. This document became the foundation for the rights of English men and woman.
