Force means? a push or a pull
Newton means? the strength of a force
Net Force means? the combination of all forces acting on an object
Unbalanced force means? whenever there is a net force acting on an object
Balanced force means? equal forces acting on one object in opposite directions
Friction means? the force that two surfaces exert on each other when they rub against each other
Static Friction means? the friction that acts on objects that are not moving
Sliding Friction means? occurs when two solid object slide over each other
Rolling Friction means? when an object rolls across a surface
Fluid Friction means? when a solid object moves through a fluid
Gravity means? a force that pulls objects toward each other
Mass means? a measure of the amount of matter in an object
Weight means? the force of gravity on a person or object at the surface of a planet
Free Fall means? when the only force acting on an object is gravity
Air Resistance means? objects falling through air experience this kind of fluid friction
Terminal Velocity means? the greatest velocity a falling object reaches
Projectile means? an object that is thrown
What is the formula for acceleration? acceleration=net force/mass
Inertia means? the tendency in an object to resist a change in motion
What is the formula for momentum? momentum=mass*velocity
Momentum means? a characteristic of a moving object that is related to the mass and the velocity of the object
