Bias | Bias is an inclination to present or hold a partial perspective at the expense of (possibly equally valid) alternatives. Anything biased generally is one-sided, and therefore lacks a neutral point of view. Bias can come in many forms. |
conclusion | when a statement or question comes to an answer; when an idea or thought is settled. |
constant | a value that does not change |
control | the variable in an experiment that does not changed |
data | facts and statistics (variables), belonging to a set of items or for reference or analysis |
dependent variable | represents the output or effect |
evidence | proof for a hypothesis |
experiment | a series of trials to prove a hypothesis |
hypothesis | a scientific guess |
independent variable | represents the input effect |
inference | a logical conclusion |
model | represents an object that is too big or too small to test |
observation | receiving knowledge of the outside world through the senses |
scientific method | a series of steps to conduct an experiement |
