Question | Answer |
What is Precipitation? | After condensation, water droplets fall in various froms like rain, snow, freezing rain, sleet, and hail. |
What is Evaporation? | Only occurs when warm water is around and water eneters the atmosphere as water vapor. |
What is Transipiration? | Sun takes the water off the plant and water enters the atmosphere as water vapor. |
What is Run-off? | It adds to the flow and when precipitation falls on land surfaces, it always attempts to move back toward sea level ( the surface that recieves the precipitation determines its flow). |
How does Dew form? | When water vapor condenses directly onto a surface. |
How does Frost form? | When water vapor changes from gas directly to ice crystals on a surface when the temperature at which condensing would take place is at the freezing point or below. |
What is a Cirrus cloud? | Made of ice crystals and formed at high elevations, wispy clouds usually consist of ice crystals that signal rain weather. |
What is a Cumulus cloud? | Puffy white and flat bottoms and clouds formed at medium or loe elevations. |
What is a Stratus cloud? | A layered cloud and formed at medium or low elevation. |
What is a Nimbo cloud? | A cloud with mostly rain. |
What is a Alto cloud? | Medium leveled clouds formed at about 2 to 6 kilometers. |
What is Fog? | Clouds that forms when condensation occurs at or near the ground or the surface of a body of water. |
