| substance and medication induced psychotic disorder | delusions or hallucinations predominant after intoxication, withdrawal or exposure |
| schizophreniform disorder | duration of schizophrenia is at least 1 month but less than 6 |
| schizoaffective disorder | depression or mania, may appear depressed with psychomotor retardation and suicidal ideation; euphoria, grandiosity or hyperactivity |
