CELL WALL | Strong supporting layer around the cell membrane in plants. |
CELL MEMBRANE | A thin, flexible barrier around a cell and it determines what enters and leaves the cell. |
NUCLEUS | The center of the cell that contains protons and neutrons, holds DNA and controls the cell's activities. |
RIBOSOME | Proteins are made in this orginalle and Ribosomes also hold RNA. |
LYSOSOME | This organelle is full of enzymes which are needed to break down food and certain materials. |
VACUOLE | A vacuole stores materials like water, salt, proteins, and carbohydrates. |
ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM | Internal membrane system, lipids components of the cell are made and packaged here. |
GOLGI BODY | This is a stack of membranes which modifies, and packages proteins from the ER. |
CYTOPLASM | Material inside of the cell membrane.(not in nucleus) |
CHLOROPLAST | Found in cells of plants and some other organismsthat captures the energy from the sunlight and converts it into chemical energy. |
