What are the two types of airway obstruction? | Partial and Complete. |
When does Anatomical Airway Obstruction occur? | When airway is blocked by the tongue or swollen tissues. |
When does Mechanical Airway Obstruction occur? | When airway is blocked by foreign object. |
What is the care for an Airway Obsruction? | Combination of five back blows and five abdominal thrusts. |

What are the two ways ou can give yourself abdominal thrusts? | With your fist, and the other is using a chiar back. |
Signals of respiratory arrest? | Absence of breathing and skin color would be ashen or cyanotic. |
When to stop care? | If the scene becomes unsafe, the victim begins to breathe on his/her own, another trained person takes over, EMS arrives and takes over or you are too exhausted to continue. |
What can air in the stomach cause? | Gastic Distention. |
If the victim begins to vomit, what should you do? | Roll the victim onto his/her side. |
Some people may have had surgery to remove all or part of the upper end of their airway, if so, they breathe through an opening called what? | Stoma. |
How can dentures help you give rescue breaths? | By supporting the victim's mouth and cheeks. |
