Initial Inventory includes: | 5. number of dosage units of each finished form in the commercial container (e.g., 100 tablet bottle) 6. number of commercial containers of each finished form (e.g., four (4) 100 tablet bottles) |
Initial Inventory includes: | 7. count of the substance – if listed in C II, an exact count or contents listed in schedules III, IV, or V, an estimated count , unless the container holds more than 1,000 tablets or capsules, then an exact count of the contents is required. |
DEA recommends (but does not require) that the inventory record include: | 1. The name, address and DEA registration number of the registrant. 2. The signature of the person or persons responsible for taking the inventory. |
Biennial Inventory | every two years. There is no requirement to submit a copy of the inventory to DEA. |
Inventorying Newly Scheduled Controlled Substances | When a drug not previously controlled is scheduled, the drug must be inventoried as of the effective date of scheduling |
