what is Visual Acuity? | Measure of eye's ability to distinguish, objects, details and shapes. |
what is Visual Axis? | Imaginary line connecting a viewed object and the fovea. |
what is Fixation point? | The object of attention or object of regard. |
what is Fixating eye? | The eye that looks at the object of regard. In strabismus the STRAIGHT EYE. |
what is Fovea? | The area of the retina that has the capability of most distinct vision. |
what is Amblyopia? | Reduced visual acuity in one OR both eyes (commonly the "lazy eye" one) not caused for a need for glasses or abnormal retina or visual pathways. |
what is Occlusion? | A method of treatment for amblyopia in one eye. The good eye is made to wear a patch. |
