Protozoan | An animal-like protist. |
Sarcodine | A protozoan that uses pseudopods to move around. |
Pseudopod | A temporary bulge in the cell wall of a sarcodine that can be used to move around or envelop and consume food. |
Paramecium | A protozoan that uses cilia to move around and direct food into the organism. |
Cilia | Tiny hairs that are all over a paramecium that beat to move and push food into a paramecium. |
Amoeba | A sarcodine with no definite shape, as it is constantly making pseudopods. |
Parasite | A protozoan that lives on a host that can help or harm its host. |
