Term | Definition |
Observe | to use one or more of the senses to identify of learn about an object or event |
Hypothesis | an educated guess that can be answered clearly in an experiment |
Experiment | to perform a test to support or disprove a hypothesis |
Control | the part of the experiment that remains the same; what you would normally do |
Variable | the part of the experiment that changes; the group you perform the experiment on |
Data | information that is collected throughout the experiment ( ex: charts, graphs, notes) used to help you draw a conclusion |
Conclusion | final step, use observations and data to see if your hypothesis is true or false |
