Hypothesis | An idea that can be scientifically tested |
Theory | A set of statements based on scientifically tested facts that act to describe, explain, or predict aspects of a phenomenon |
Inductive Reasoning | Takes a series of individual instances or observations and uses them to form a new premise. Science is founded on this type of reasoning. Only existing premises you are allowed to use are inductive ones, in order to use deductive reasoning. |
Deductive Reasoning | Take existing premises and combine them to form a new premise. |
