Claim | Noun-a statement that needs to be supported by evidence. Verb- to state something that needs proof |
Evidence | Noun- facts or proof that something is true |
Plausible | adjective- believable, likely to be true. |
Result | noun- something that happens because it was caused by something else . Verb- to happen to something else |
Pattern | Noun- something that happens repeatedly in the same way In science a Pattern is when you get the results that follow the same rule each time you do a test |
interpret | Verb- to draw a conclusion based on what you see, In science, we interpret the results or data. |
Model | Noun- In science a representation of how something works Verb - to create a representation of how something works. |
system | Noun- A group of things working together |
Represent | Verb- to show or stand for a thing or idea in a way that can be understood by most people |
SImulate | Verb- to do something that looks like or feels like the real thing, but isn't the real thing. |
Diagram | Noun- a drawing or plan that shows exactly where something is, what something is, what something looks like, or how something works |
Relationship | Noun- The connection between two or more things |
Compare | Verb- examine two or more things to tell how the same and how they are different |
Contrast | verb- to compare two or more things, focusing only on the differences Noun-the difference between two or more things |
substance | Noun- a physical material that you can see and touch, like a powder or gel |
Inference | Noun- A conclusion based on invidence |
Qualitative | Adjective- describes observation that do not have numbers for example : Size, color, shape |
Quantitative | Adjective- Describes observations that use numbers ; For example : weight, time, height, weight, volume |
