Ecosystem | organisms interact with each other and their physical environment. |
Biotic Factors | living and once living things in an ecosystem like trees, birds, and insects |
Abiotic | nonliving things in an ecosystem like soil, rocks, rain, air, and sunlight |
Community | organisms living together in an ecosystem, contains different populations |
population | all members are of the same species |
Adaptations | structure or behavior that enables a species to survive in it's environment. Ex. a chameleon |
Niche | role a species plays like where it lives, how it gets food NO 2 are alike, or like a result of adaptation |
The Sun | all plants depends on the sun for their energy_ |
Producers | uses the sun for food, carries out plants |
Consumers | get energy by eating other organisms ,must eat producers or other consumers to get energy and there're 3 kinds that is herbivores-plant eaters, carnivores-meat eaters, omnivores- plant/meat eaters. |
Decomposers | eats dead rotten stuff, feeds on waste of living organisms, also on dead, decaying plants and animals. |
Predator | hunts and eats other organisms |
Prey | organisms that are hunted |
Symbiosis | long term close relationship with other species, and there is 3 kinds.1.parasitism- one organism lives in or on, feeds upon and harms another organism.2. commensalisms - one organism benefits, the other is not harmed. 3. Mutualism: all organisms benefit |
