Arm | Connects the tube to the base and is used to carry it from one place to another |

Fine Adjustment Knob | Used with HIGH POWER ONLY, it sharpens the image and makes us able to see different layers of the specimen |
High Power Objective | The longest and most powerful lens on a microscope enabling you to see the greatest amount of detail of a specimen |

Inverted | When an image is turned upside down by the lens of a microscope |
Low Power Objective | The shortest and least powerful lens of a microscope. Using it provides the largest field of view. |
Nosepiece | Rotates the objectives in a microscope |
Ocular (Eyepiece) | has a magnification of 10x, it is what you look through in a microscope |
Stage | Is what the specimen is placed on in order to view on a microscope |
Stage Clips | Holds the slide in place on the stage of a microscope |
Wet Mount | A method of making temporary slides using a cover slip and water |
