Folic acid | Reduces neural tube defects by 50% - spinabifida & anencephaly, 400 micrograms daily - 1 month prior to pregnancy. Oranges |
Avoid | Alcohol, drugs (even OTC), tobacco, eliminate or cut down on caffeine |
