Adaption | a change or the process of change by which an organism or species becomes better suited to its environment |
Herbivore | an animal that feeds on plants |
carnivore | an animal that feeds on flesh |
Omnivore | an animal or person that eats of both plant and animal origin |
decomposer | organisms that break down dead or decaying organisms |
prodecer | organism that serves as a source of food for other organisms in a food chain |
consumer | A hetero trophic organism that feeds on other organisms in a food chain |
ecosystem | A biological community of interactive organisms and the phyiscal environment |
biosphere | he regions of the surface, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of the earth (or analogous parts of other planets) occupied by living organisms |
ecology | the branch of biology that deals with the relations of organisms to one another and to their physical surroundings |
biome | a large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat, e.g., forest or tundra. |
habitat | he natural home or environment of an animal, plant, or other organism |
niche | the physical environment to which it has become adapted as well as its role as producer and consumer of food resources |
population | all the organisms of the same group or species, which live in a particular geographical area, and have the capability of interbreeding |
community | a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristics in common |
endoskeletion | a skeleton on the inside of the body |
exoskeleton | a skeleton type thing on the side of there body |
mammals | any living thing that gives live birth |
contour feathers | they are the flight feathers |
down feathers | the feathers a new hatched would have |
producer | makes its own food |
primary consumer | eats the producer |
secondary consumer | eats the primary consumer |
tertiary consumer | eats everything but doesn't get eaten |
food web | a list of were the energy goes and who eats what int e food chain |
