taxonomy | the branch of science that formally names and classifies organisms by their structure, function and relationship |
Domain | the highest and largest rank of grouping organisms |
Domain Bacteria | prokaryotic, single-celled organism that lacks a nucleus in its cell |
Domain Archaea | prokaryotic, single-celled organism that lacks a nucleus in its cell and can live in extreme environments |
Domain Eukarya | organisms with cells that contain a nucleus |
Kingdom | a taxonomic rank below Domain 6 Groups: Animalia , Fungi ,Plantea ,Protista ,Archea ,and Eubacteria |
Autotroph | an organism that can make it's own food |
Heterotroph | an organism that cannot make it's own food |
Asexual Reproduction | a method of reproduction that requires one parent |
Sexual Reproduction | a method of reproduction that requires two parents |
Cell theory | states that all living organisms are made up of one or more cells |
Kingdom Archeabacteria | unicellular,asexual,auto and heterotroph,prokaryotic organism that lives in extreme environments |
Kingdom Eubacteria | unicellular,asexual,auto and heterotroph,prokaryotic organism that lives in moderate environments |
