| Volcano | a mountain, that has a crater through which lava, rock fragments, that has been erupted from the earths . |
| Lava | hot molten rock. |
| Magma | hot fluid. |
| Crater | a large, bowl-shaped cavity in the ground. |
| Vent | an opening at the earths surface. |
| Pipe | a vertical conduit below a volcano though which magma passes. |
| Lavaflow | a mass of flowing lava. |
| Ring of fire | an area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where a large number of earthquakes and volcanoes eruption occur. |
| Element | a substance consisting of atoms which all have the same number of protons. |
| Viscosity | a measurement in fluid to deformation under shear stress. |
| Silica | a hard colorless compound that occurs as the mineral quartz. |
| Pahoehoe | basaltic lava forming smooth undulating. |
| AA | a variety of flow lava which rough surface of broken blocks. |
| Compound | a substance formed when two or more chemical bonds common in compounds. |
| Subduction | a process that take place at convergent boundaries by which one tectonic plate. |

| cinder cone volcano | A steep, cone-shaped hill or small mountain made of volcanic ash,cinders, and bombs piled up around a volcano's opening. |
| shield volcano | A wide, gently sloping mountain made of layers of lava and formed by quiet eruption. |
| composite volcano | A tall, cone-shaped mountain in which layers of lava alternate with layers of ash and other volcanic materials. |
| caldera | The largest hole at the top of a volcano formed when the roof of a volcano's magma chamber collapses. |
| batholith | A mass of rock formed when a large body of magma cools inside the crust. |
