Roots | The part of a plant that soaks up water and minerals. |

Flowers | The part of a plant that makes seeds. |
Fruit | The part of a plant that holds and protects seeds. |
Chlorophyll | A green pigment that is found in plants' leaves that help the plant make food. |
Photosynthesis | The process that plants use to make energy from sunlight. |
Sugar | The type of food that plants make in their leaves. It is also known as glucose. |
Oxygen | The type of gas that is released into the air after photosynthesis. |
Carbon Dioxide | The type of gas that plants need for photosynthesis. |
