hypothesis | A possible explanation or answer to a question; a testable statement. |
empirical evidence | Data collected through direct observation or experience. |
microscope | A tool for looking at objects that cannot be seen with the eye alone. |
pan balance | A tool that measures mass with units called grams (g). |
spring scale | A tool used to measure forces, such as weight, in units called newtons. |
triple beam balance | An accurate tool to use for measuring mass. |
