Term | Definition |
Regurgitated | to bring food that has been swallowed back to and out of the mouth |
Pellet | a small, hard ball of food |
Esophagus | the tube that leads from the mouth through the throat to the stomach |
Gizzard | a part in the stomach of a bird in which food is broken down into small pieces |
Bones | any one of the hard pieces that form the frame (called a skeleton) inside a person's or animal's body |
Shrews | a small animal that looks like a mouse with a long, pointed nose |
Rodents | a small animal (such as a mouse, rat, squirrel, or beaver) that has sharp front teeth |

Invasive Species | an animal that does not naturally live in an area. They may cause harm to environments or humans . |
Native Species | an animal that naturally lives in an area. |
