Rotation | The motion of an object around its axis |
Solar System | The sun, planets and all other objects that orbit around the sun |
Sun | The star that is the center of our solar system, around which the planets revolve and receive heat and light |
Gravity | Force of attraction between two objects |
Moon | The natural satellite of the Earth, visible (chiefly at night) by reflected light from the sun |
Inner Planet | Any of the four planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, whose orbits are closest to the sun |
Outer Planet | Any of the four planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, with orbits outside of Mars. These planets lie outside the asteroid belt. |
