USP/NF | Meets standards set by the USP/NF 7 on 1-9 (1 = most pure) |
FCC | Meets specifications of Food Chemical Codex 6 on 1-9 (1=most pure) |
ACS reagent | High purity; meets )specifications of the Reagent chemicals committee of the American Chemical Society 5 on 1-9 (1=most pure) |
AR (analytical reagent) | Very high purity 4 on 1-9 (1=most pure) |
HPLC | Very high purity; used in high pressure chromatography 3 on 1-9 (1=most pure) |
Spectroscopic grade | very high purity 2 on 1-9 (1=most pure) |
Primary standard | Highest purity; used in standard solutions for analytical purposes 1 on 1-9 (1=most pure) |
