Ratio Scale | Values represent real amount of attributes. Scale has a 0 point. Ex: Height, Weight |
Ordinal Scale | Rank-ordered with greater than/ less than relationship. Ex: sensation (normal>impaired>absent), spasticity, Balance, MMT Scores |
Nominal Scale | Elements assigned to mutually exclusive categories with no qualitative value. Named categories. Ex: Gender, Blood Type |
Interval Scale | Like ordinal (rank-order) but with known, equal distances between units and no zero point. Ex: Temperature |
Corticospinal Tract (CST) | MOTOR. Anterior CST = ipsilateral. Lateral CST= contralateral. Damage to CST = Babinski sign. |
Spinothalamic Tract (ST) | Anterior ST = light touch, pressure. Lateral ST = pain/temp |
Anterior Cord Syndrome | Loss of: motor (CST), pain/temp (lateral ST). MOI: Flexion |
Posterior Cord Syndrome | Loss of: pain/temp (lateral ST), proprioception, 2-pt discrimination, stereognosis (DCML). Motor Preserved. |
