phenotype | organism physical appearance, or visible traits |
genotype | organism genetic makeup, or allele combinations |
homozygous dominant | having two dominant alleles for a trait |
homozygous recessive | having two recessive alleles for a trait |
heterozygous | having two different alleles for a trait |
DNA | deoxyribonucleic acid |
codominance | condition in which neither of two alleles of a gene is dominant or recessive |
