Ecosystem | All the living and non-living things in an area and their interactions. |
Habitat | A place that provides all the things an organisim needs to live. |
Biotic | A living orginisim. |
Abiotic | A non-living orgisim. |
Population | A group of one speiceis living in one area. |
Community | A different population in an area. |
Food Chain | A series of steps that show how energy moves from biotic factor to another. |
Food Web | a diogram of many different food chains. |
Symbiosis | A long-term relationship between two organisims. |
Paisite | Lives inside or outside an orginisim and takes nutrients from that orginisim. |
Niche | the role that an organism has in an ecosystem |
carrying capacity | the number of organisms that can live in a habitat |
predetor | the one that hunts and eats other animals |
prey | the one that hunts and eats other animals |
producers | make their own food for energy |
consumers | can’t make their own food and get energy from other producers of consumers |
herbiviors | Eat only plants |
carniviors | Eat only other animals |
omnivors | eat plants and animals |
scavengers | eats dead animals |
decomposers | get energy by breaking down wastes and dead organisms |
