Term | Definition |
Setting | When and where the story takes place. |
Foreshadowing | Hints in the text that tell the reader about something that will happen later in the story. |
Irony | A tone created when things are opposite of what they should be or opposite how we think they should be. |
Theme | The story's message. (there may be more than one) |
Tone | Clues in the story that suggest an attitude toward the theme of the story or toward events that happen in the story |
Mood | Overall feeling created by how the story is told. |
What affect does keeping of secrets have on the reader? | It makes the reader what to keep reading to see what happens. |
