Term | Definition |
Eukaryotic Cell | Cells which have a nucleus and other membrane bound organelles. |
Prokaryotic Cell | Cells which do not have a nucleus and other membrane bound organelles. |
Cell | The basic/smallest structural unit of living things capable of functioning independently. Contains the living contents and organelles of the cell and is surrounded by a cell membrane. |
Selectively permeable membrane | This refers to the cell membrane. Allows certain molecules or ions to pass through but prevents others. |
